June 4 Conduct tours of Mi'kmaq Heritage Park in Degrau

July 7 Preparing bilingual promotional material on our community

July 8 Assist in Children's Acivities/ Greet Tourists

July 9 Preparing bilingual promotional material on our community

July 10 Assist Office Manager/ Greet Tourists

July 11 Preparing bilingual promotional material on our community

 

Week 3

July 13-19

July 13 Flat Bay Cultural Day-Pow-wow

July 14 Greet Tourists and give tours of Mi'kmaq heritage park

July 15 Create French/Englih/Mi;kmaq promotional flyers

July 16 Assist in Children's Acivities/ Greet Tourists

July 17 Greet Tourists/ Final report and conclusion

 

Notes: This schedule is a guide only with actual activities being rescheduled and moved around as required.

 

  1. Assist with Aboriginal Day celebrations. Passing out tobacco ties to the elders who show up, assist organizers with craft display.
  2. Will participate in the St-Jean Batiste Day Walk-a-thon to raise money for programing.
  3. Translate Band Council promotional material into French
  4. Greet Tourists who visit band centre and give tours of Mi'kmaq Heritage Park.
  5. Pow-wow weekend/ Cultural Day - student will report to the Coordinator at the Pow-wow grounds (regional pow-wow)
  6. Daily and final reports required for all activities performed as Cultural Coordinator.
