PURPOSE: A new accessible, affordable and safe transportation network to serve the Indigenous communities on the Port au Port Peninsula west of Campbell's Creek.

COMMUNITIES SERVED: the Benoit First Nation communities of the loop on the Port Au Port Peninsula west of Campbell's Creek and including Abraham's Cove, Cape St George, Mainland, Three Rock Cove, Lourdes, Winterhouses, Black Duck Brook, West Bay, Piccadilly, Ship Cove, Lower Cove, Sheaves Cove, Marches Point, Red Brook, and De Grau.

COSTS 25 cents/km

TRANSPORTATION MAY BE USED FOR:

  • Private Bookings Available for non-Emergency Medical Transportation
  • NO Scenic Trips available

    Non-Emergency Medical Transportation - to assist seniors and (persons with disabilities over 25 with an attendant) to:

  • attend medical appointments,
  • pick up medications and
  • obtain medical supplies
  • Errands - grocery shop, banking, (minimum 2 persons)

    Recreation and Leisure:

  • Attend social events, in their communities and surrounding areas,
  • Take part in Physical activity, exercise and games
  • Attend Seniors or Cultural groups

    Monday to Friday and any other weekend special activity dates

    Call Janice at 709-214-4415 during regular office hours to book a seat for events

    On call, as per reservation or per scheduled cultural event

    All subject to volunteer driver availability

    Individual trips are to be booked in advance where possible.

    Volunteer drivers are to stay with the van and if needed the person transported should have an attendant to assist them:
