Serving oue Elders Advisory Council in several areas to support them in advocacy, supporting traditional teachings, traditional ceremonies, interpersonal relationships development to decrease isolation, encourage community engagement through the region.

The Elders Healing Lodge is a resource centre, a retreat center. A place for spiritual healing, gatherings and teachings. Guided by the 7 Grandfather teachings.

The Seven Grandfather Teachings

Elders, both men and women, were the most valued and respected. The Mi'kmaq held them in the highest esteem. Their advice, guidance and wisdom is considered to be essential in all decisions affecting the people, and thus no important decisions were made without their full involvement.

All events must be drug free. Smoking (including E-cigs) is not permitted in the building or outside within 9 meters of any entrance/ exit.(outside and behind building only)

We promote a friendly spiritual, and family orientation environment free of harrassment of any kind. We have a zero tolerance policy .

Private events are by invitation only as per our usage agreement. Public events are opened to all. Member events are only for Bfn band members.

Non-cultural events can be booked at the Edna May Benoit Women's Resource Centre on the basement floor of the Benoit First Nation Building.
