This year Penwa' Mawi-Amskwesewey L'nue'kati members celebrated St-Jean Baptiste Day with the local Francophone population on Saturday, June 24, 2006 by walking the 14 Km trail from Mainland to Cape St. George..
This was a band fundraiser enjoyed by all who participated. Wela'lin to Bernadette Tellac and Cody Benoit for representing our first nation community in the walk-a-thon and for their fundraising efforts.
Honourable mention to Peter Benoit for his contributions and assistance with our participation in the walk-a-thon. Many thanks to all who sponsored our walkers.
