In Memory of Silvester Joe Benoit,It Memory of Mi'kmaw elder Silvester Joseph Benoit who sadly passed away on October 2, 2003 at the age of 74 years. Sadly missed by his loving wife, Edna and six sons: George Benoit, Matthew Benoit, and Stephen Benoit, Jasen Benwah, Colin Benoit all of DeGrau, Bruce Benoit of Prince Edward Island, four daughters: Mary Phyllis Young of DeGrau, Myra Benoit of North York, Ontario, Barbra (Jim) McAlinden of Lake Yoho, New Brunswick, Lory (Warren) Jesso of California and four brothers; Leonard Benoit (Melina) of Degrau, Aiden Benoit (Monica), Hillary Benoit (Nancy), both of Alberta, Conrad (Regina) Benoit of Stephenville, four sisters: Late Mary Robia of Red Brook, Leona (Andrew) Chaisson of DeGrau, Rose (Robert) Young of Red Brook, Yvonne Benoit of DeGrau, twenty-two grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.Uncles: Late Michael, Joseph, Emmanuel (Late Anna May), and Gabriel. Aunts: Cedes Costard, Mary (Finton Jesso), May (Limbert Jesso), Eileen, Agatha Jesso, Rita Gosse, Bernadette and Maude Gosse. Also from many cousins, nephews, neices, friends and relatives. And a large circle of relatives and friends. At the time of his passing he was predeceased by his parents, John Alfred and Millicent (Millie) Benoit, brothers, Loderick and Paul Benoit, sister, Emily Marche. It's been four years, may the creator protect him and keep him safe in the spirit world. A local Mi'kmaw, retired and member of the Knights of Columbus, Silvester Benoit was loved by all who know him and he will not be forgotten.
